Since its inception in 1980, we are still proudly family-owned and operated, continuing Dato Lim Foo Yong’s legacy of serving good Chinese food in an ambiance of casual fine dining. Initially, our menu emphasized mainly traditional Cantonese cuisine, offering the ultimate delicacies like Abalone, Sea Cucumber, Shark’s Fin and Fish Maw. Methods of preparation were based on traditional styles featuring dishes made popular in Hong Kong, the gold standard of Cantonese Cuisine at the time.
As time went by, we started to introduce some local flavors, eg. chilli, belacan and also dishes from other Chinese provinces, eg. Mapo tofu and Peking Duck. In more recent years, our menu has also incorporated some fusion dishes as Chinese food trends have evolved. Through it all, our goal and priorities have not wavered-to offer fine Chinese cuisine at reasonable prices and good service.

A momentous renovation that gave Marco Polo its facelift, especially historic because the designer was architect William O.L Lim, Dato’s youngest son. William Lim works out of Hong Kong and has since won multiple International awards and recognition for his accomplishments, continuously bringing the family glowing pride.
1997年由OL LIM為富臨門作出大翻新工程，别具意義，因為設計是來自建築師William O.L.Lim, 拿督的小兒子。William Lim 在香港就業，曾獲得多個國際獎項，成就卓越，為家族帶來自豪。

2022POST COVID 19
We have come through truly challenging times since March 2020 as Covid 19 devastated the world. New protocols (photo shows high temperature steam disinfecting in progress), and policies were adopted. We persevered with tenacious optimism. Our staff deserve special recognition for they offered their unwavering support and stood with us through it all…our true heroes. Let us hope that we never have to live through this again. We thank all our supportive customers who stayed with us through these trying times. Marco Polo wishes everyone Good Health!
